De beste percelen van Nieuw-Zeeland

Craggy Range werd rond 1997 opgericht. De filosofie was om enkel de beste percelen in Nieuw-Zeeland te selecteren, om daar vervolgens enkel druivensoorten te planten die perfect passen bij het betreffende terroir. Daarmee was dit het eerste wijnhuis op het zuidelijk halfrond die op deze manier te werk ging. Craggy Range is één van de meest geavanceerde wineries ooit gebouwd in Nieuw-Zeeland en staat bekend om zijn hoge standaard en uiterst precieze vakmanschap. Door de jaren heen zijn de wijnen steeds verfijnder geworden en hebben ze een zekere diepgang en rijpheid gekregen. De Gimblett Gravels Vineyard Syrah van Craggy Range is een fascinerende rode wijnmix van Merlot (62 procent), Cabernet Sauvignon (19 procent), Cabernet Franc (18 procent) en Petit Verdot (1 procent) en presenteert zichzelf in een glas in een donker granaatrood. De verschillende druivensoorten komen allemaal uit de regio Hawke's Bay. De druiven worden met grote zorg geoogst en geselecteerd. De druiven worden in de wijnkelder geperst en de puree wordt vervolgens gefermenteerd in een roestvrijstalen tank. Dit wordt gevolgd door achttien maanden rijping in Franse eiken vaten. Deze droge rode wijn uit Nieuw Zeeland is een echte traktatie met ossenhaas met rode wijnsaus en aardappelpuree, lamsrack met rozemarijnaardappelen of met lever en gestoomde uien.

De geuren en smaak van Craggy Range SOPHIA Gimbletts

De wijn is donker granaatrood. Het expressieve boeket wordt versterkt door tonen van bramen, cassis en cacao - vergezeld van houtnoten. Deze rode wijn is weelderig in de mond zonder opdringerig te zijn en heeft een body met zoet fruit en gekarameliseerde nuances. De fijne tannines zijn perfect verweven in de dichte textuur. De uitstekende lengte in de finale rondt deze onvergetelijke wijn uit Nieuw-Zeeland af.

Held Up Better Than Most for My Aggressive Chewer

I have to give the Fuufome Dog Chew Toy for Aggressive Chewers a solid 3 out of 5 stars. I have a very high-energy Lab mix named Boone who is an extremely aggressive chewer. Finding toys that last in our house is nearly impossible. This is actually his second toy like this - the first one is currently in my yard in three different pieces. While I don’t believe this toy was advertised as indestructible, I still hoped it would fully survive Boone’s chewing. Some parts have held up well, which is more than I can say for many other toys we’ve tried. However, he was still able to do some noticeable damage to the rubber portion after consistent use. To be fair, it did last longer than most toys we’ve purchased, which says a lot considering how tough Boone is on his things. For moderate chewers, I think this would hold up quite well. For truly aggressive chewers like mine, it’s tougher than average but still may show wear over time.
