Chateau Rahoul bezit in totaal 40 hectare wijngaarden in de wijnregio Gravis en is sinds 2007 in handen van de Bordelese handelaar Vignobles Dourhte. Dourthe heeft een goede reputatie in Bordeau en is een van de meest professionele handelaars op de markt. Naast Chateau Rahoul bezitten ze nog zes wijnhuizen die samen goed zijn voor 400 hectare wijngaard. Ze gaan op een zeer professionele en kwalitatieve manier te werk. Op de 35 hectare wijngaard van Chateau Rahoul is slechts 3.6 hectare bestemd voor de productie van de witte wijn. 65 procent is beplant met Semillon, wat aangevuld wordt met Sauvignon Blanc. De Semillon en Sauvignon Blanc druiven worden bij optimale rijpheid in de vroege ochtend volledig met de hand geoogst. De druiven worden na de wijnmakerij gebracht waar een strenge selectie volgt. De alcoholische gisting en fermentatie vindt plaats in houten vaten voor de duur van 8 maanden. Hierdoor kan het sap maximale karakters ontwikkelen.De geur en smaak van Chateau Rahoul Graves Wit
De witte Graves van Chateau Rahoul kleurt citroengeel in het glas met een mooie groene glans. In de geur aroma’s van rijpe peer en ananas. De Semillon zorgt voor een zeer verleidelijke en zachte smaak en vol vanaf de aanzet. In de smaak komen ook tonen van rijp wit fruit overweldigend naar voren. It all makes sense now

This book covers Ancient Chinese History, Starting from the Settlement at the Yellow River through the Xia, Shang, Zhou, and Qin Dynasties to the Han Dynasty. This should ring a bell for some folks as this is the period around the Yellow River shows the early development of man in this region.
Ancient Chinese history is a tapestry of remarkable achievements, cultural developments, and political transitions that unfolded over thousands of years. It all began with the settlement at the Yellow River, where early agricultural communities emerged around 5000 BCE. This period witnessed the gradual transition from a hunter-gatherer lifestyle to settled farming communities, marking the foundation of Chinese civilization.
From this fertile ground, the Xia Dynasty rose in the 21st century BCE, establishing the first recorded dynasty in Chinese history. Although little written evidence remains, the Xia period laid the groundwork for future dynasties, fostering advancements in agriculture, irrigation systems, and early forms of government.
The subsequent Shang Dynasty (16th–11th century BCE) witnessed great cultural achievements, including the development of a complex writing system and the creation of magnificent bronze artworks. It was during this era that the concept of the Mandate of Heaven emerged, which stated that rulers' legitimacy depended on their ability to govern effectively.
Following the fall of the Shang Dynasty, the Zhou Dynasty (1046–256 BCE) emerged and introduced the feudal system, characterized by a decentralized government. This era saw the flourishing of philosophy, with notable thinkers like Confucius and Laozi influencing Chinese thought for centuries to come.
The Qin Dynasty (221–206 BCE) unified China under the rule of Emperor Qin Shi Huang, bringing about remarkable political and administrative reforms. It standardized currency, measurements, and writing systems, and constructed the Great Wall of China. Although short-lived, the Qin Dynasty paved the way for the subsequent Han Dynasty.
The Han Dynasty (206 BCE–220 CE) was a period of significant cultural and technological advancements. It expanded the empire's territorial reach, established the Silk Road, and embraced Confucianism as the official ideology. The Han Dynasty left a lasting legacy, shaping the Chinese state and society for centuries.
Through these pivotal dynasties, Ancient Chinese history witnessed the development of a rich and enduring civilization, with contributions that continue to influence the world today.

From its meticulously researched details to its accessible nature that allows everyone interested in history to enjoy what is contained within these pages, "Alexander the Great" lives up to its title. There is no surprise here, as volumes in this series are generally known to be superb!
