Deze frisse cava heeft een heldere kersenkleur met aroma's van framboos en granaatappel. De wijn komt van Portium, een domein opgericht in 1985 en gelegen in het hart van de Penedès regio, 40 km ten zuiden van Barcelona. Met 100 hectare wijngaarden, beschermd door het Montserrat-gebergte en genietend van een mediterraan klimaat, produceert Portium kwaliteitswijnen die populair zijn in zowel Spanje als de rest van Europa.

De wijngaarden, variërend in leeftijd van 8 tot 50 jaar, liggen op zuidoostelijke hellingen op een hoogte van 200-500 meter. De bodem, bestaande uit kalk en klei met goede drainage, biedt ideale omstandigheden voor wijnbouw. De druiven worden geoogst tussen eind augustus en eind september wanneer ze optimaal rijp zijn en nog voldoende zuurgraad hebben.

Na een zachte persing en fermentatie bij 15°C in september, volgt in de winter de coupage en botteling. De tweede fermentatie duurt anderhalve maand bij 16°C, waarna de flessen twee jaar rusten in de kelder. Het resultaat is een verfijnde cava met aangename zuren en een rijke smaakbeleving.
