Papilou is een speelse en biologische pétillant naturel van Gérard Bertrand, geproduceerd volgens de méthode ancestrale. Deze licht mousserende rosé komt uit het zuiden van Frankrijk en is volledig veganistisch, ongefilterd en zonder toegevoegde sulfieten. Met Papilou laat Bertrand zien dat natuurlijke wijn niet alleen puur is, maar ook feestelijk en doordrinkbaar.

Wijngaarden en regio – mediterrane frisheid met biodynamische balans

De druiven worden geteeld op biologisch gecertificeerde percelen in de Languedoc. De bodems bestaan uit kalksteen en klei, en profiteren van de verkoelende werking van de Tramontane-wind. De combinatie van zon, wind en biodynamische verzorging levert gezonde druiven op met veel aroma en frisse zuren, ideaal voor een wijn met een spontaan mousserend karakter.

Vinificatie en rijping – méthode ancestrale zonder toevoegingen

Papilou wordt gemaakt via de méthode ancestrale: de wijn fermenteert deels in tank en wordt vervolgens gebotteld terwijl de gisting nog gaande is. Hierdoor ontstaat een natuurlijke mousse zonder dat er suiker of gist wordt toegevoegd. De wijn is ongefilterd, niet gedegorgeerd en bevat geen toegevoegde sulfieten, wat zorgt voor een levendig en puur karakter.

Druivensamenstelling

Deze rosé bestaat uit Grenache en Cinsault, twee druiven die zorgen voor een fijne balans tussen fruit, frisheid en elegantie.

Proefnotities

De geur opent met tonen van aardbei, rode appel en een vleugje citrus. In de mond is Papilou licht parelend, sappig en fruitig, met een zachte mousse en een droge, verfrissende afdronk.

Serveersuggesties

Perfect als aperitief, bij een zomerse picknick of lichte tapas. Serveer goed gekoeld op 6 tot 8 graden.
