TP-LINK's 8-Port Gigabit Smart Switch TL-SG2008 is speciaal ontworpen voor de kleine en middelgrote bedrijfsnetwerken die een efficiënt netwerkbeheer vereisen. TL-SG2008 wordt geleverd met een uitgebreide set van functies, zoals Link Aggregation Group, 802.1Q VLAN, Access Control Lists (ACL), Quality of Service (QoS L2 tot L4), Storm Control en IGMP Snooping om een klein of middelgroot bedrijf te voorzien van een netwerk dat is afgestemd op groei en tegelijkertijd prestaties en betrouwbaarheid garandeert. Bovendien zorgt de gebruiksvriendelijke webbeheerinterface voor een snellere installatie en configuratie met minder uitvaltijd, wat de ideale oplossing is voor jouw bedrijfsnetwerk.

Om spraak-, data- en videodiensten in één netwerk te integreren, past de switch een uitgebreid QoS-beleid toe. De beheerder kan de prioriteit van het verkeer toewijzen op basis van verschillende middelen, waaronder poortprioriteit, 802.1P-prioriteit en DSCP-prioriteit, om ervoor te zorgen dat spraak en video altijd duidelijk, soepel en jittervrij zijn. In combinatie met de Voice VLAN die de switch ondersteunt, werken de spraaktoepassingen met veel soepelere prestaties.

Voor meer toepassing van laag 2 switches, ondersteunt TL-SG2008 een complete line-up van laag 2 functies, waaronder 802.1Q tag VLAN, Port Isolation, Port Mirroring, STP/RSTP/MSTP; Link Aggregation Control Protocol en 802.3x Flow Control functie. Bovendien bieden de switches geavanceerde functies voor netwerkonderhoud, zoals Loop Back Detection, Cable Diagnostics en IGMP Snooping. IGMP Snooping zorgt ervoor dat de switch op intelligente wijze de multicaststroom alleen doorstuurt naar de juiste abonnees, terwijl IGMP throttling & filtering elke abonnee op poortniveau beperkt om onbevoegde multicasttoegang te voorkomen.

TL-SG2008 is eenvoudig te gebruiken en te beheren. De TL-SG2008 ondersteunt verschillende gebruiksvriendelijke standaardbeheerfuncties, zoals een intuïtieve webgebaseerde grafische gebruikersinterface (GUI) of een standaard Command Line Interface (CLI). SNMP (v1/2/3) en RMON ondersteuning maakt het mogelijk de switch te pollen voor waardevolle statusinformatie en traps te versturen bij abnormale gebeurtenissen.
