Nieuwe agenda’s lopen niet langer synchroon, een steeds ontsnappende gevangene lijkt nooit echt vrij te kunnen komen en in tijden van crisis wordt uiteindelijk Kerstmis afgeschaft. De steevast sigaretten rokende Carlo Andreoli, het alter ego van Pugliese, duikt weer op en leest in de krant over zijn aanstaande dood.
