Knuffel met warmtekussen, Hert Klein, Senger Naturwelt

Dit lieve knuffel hert is heerlijk om mee te kroelen, in zijn buik zit namelijk een warmtekussen gevuld met kersenpitten waardoor deze knuffel ook heel aangenaam is voor koude nachten of buikkrampjes. Het hertje is gemaakt van biologische katoen en gevuld met schapenwol, 100% natuurlijk en veilig voor de allerkleinsten.

Het warmtekussen opwarmen:

Haal het kussentje met kersenpitten via de rits uit de buik van de knuffel. Verwarm kussentje gedurende 3 tot 5 minuten in de over op 75°C of in de magnetron, 1 minuut op 500-600 Watt.

Tip van flip: in de warme zomermaanden kun je de knuffel ook gebruiken om te koelen: haal het kersenpitkussentje via de rits uit de knuffel en vervolgens een half uurtje in de vriezer, daarna stop je het kussentje weer terug en de knuffel voelt heerlijk koel aan.

Wasvoorschrift: handwas met mild wasmiddel of wolwasmiddel. Niet uitwringen, wrijven of borstelen. Na het wassen voorzichtig uitknijpen en op een handdoek laten drogen (Let op: voor het wassen eerst het kersenpitkussentje via de rits eruit halen).

What adaptations ought to be

An amazing adaptation of Lovecraft's classic story to manga that changes only what needs to be changed to make the story work in the new format. The plot is the same, the art is incredibly detailed -- almost too much so -- and the changes in the plot are done only to deal with the vast amount of pure narration in the original. And they're intelligently done. This is how to do it. If you liked the original Shadow over Innsmouth, I think it's safe to say you'll love this.

Gou Tanabe has been making probably the best manga/comic adaptations of Lovecraft's works recently, and this depiction of "The Shadow Over Innsmouth" is by far the best. Tanabe really captures visually what Lovecraft was conveying via the text of the original story. Innsmouth is decrepit and rotting, the locals are sinister, and the deep ones are hideous. And, as always, Tanabe's art is of the highest quality. I can't recommend this enough, and I eagerly await whatever adaptation he does next.
