So, what is the crime? Doing what Deep Purple never did before: recording an album made 100% of music originally written and recorded by other artists: obscure gems of rock and R&B. No one is expecting the band to release a new album, especially 1 year and 3 months after “Whoosh!”. Additionally, this is a covers album. After the success of the recent albums (“NOW What?!”, “inFinite” and “Whoosh!” sold over 1 million albums altogether, topped the charts 11 times and achieved more than 40 Top 10 positions worldwide), “Turning To Crime” is supposed to take away the pressure to “deliver”, both commercially and artistically. A top job, always remaining on high-standards (musically, visually and commercially) before the next studio album campaign will reinforce the brand and at the same time will allow the next album to avoid a direct comparison with the “golden trilogy”. With a surprise announcement in September/October, we will try to obtain a high level of excitement, enthusiasm and fans interaction in a shorter promotional window than usual. In mid September, full page ads are going to appear in all rock magazines worldwide, revealing 5 mysterious mug shots (no band logo, no band title) and arrest warrants will be send out to media. On October 6th, the official album preorder will begin. By doing it, we are expecting to generate a fast high ranking on amazon which would ideally influence all other street retailers and media. Once done, we expect it would be easy to make the interest and attention last well after the Christmas season. Due to the limited amount of time, communication and timing need to be on point. Right from the start, fans need to be taken on the “Turning To Crime” journey with a schedule precise to the day.Shipping Notes

Deep study- excellent read
Format: Kindle
Would recommend this carefully crafted book by a biblical scholar. The book wrestles salvation, identity, and purpose as written in Paul’s letter to the Romans.

A slow journey worth taking
Format: Kindle
I found this book by accident and loved the title so I “got on board.” It too a bit to get “this train” moving but as Beverly Roberts Gaventa built steam I became more and more engaged with Romans and her engagement with it. I highly recommend reading this to get a full view of Romans and all it has to give us. Thank you For taking me with you on this journey.

Fresh, exciting, energizing insights on Romans
I was delightfully surprised by the fresh insights of deep significance that Gaventa uncovers in the book of Romans, of all things--that book about which so, so much has already been written. She helps the reader approach the letter's themes as if one were reading it for the first time with 1st-century lenses, and in the process expands and reorients the reader's understanding of salvation, and the question of why Paul is even writing in the first place. The 21st-century repercussions of what Gaventa presents here would take another volume, but she does at points connect some of these dots herself. One notable reason why Gaventa's reading seems so fresh is that while it touches on them very briefly, but doesn't dwell on so many of the recurrent topics in recent discussions on Paul, such as "faith/fulness of Christ" or "works of the law" or "righteousness/justice of God." She simply helps focus attention on what to keep in mind when reading Romans in order to understand what is happening in and through its complex arguments. And I couldn't put it down until I finished. Although I would otherwise say we need another Romans commentary like we need rocks in our shoes, it offers much promise that Gaventa's big commentary which she is producing might very well revolutionize our understanding of aspects of Romans, and perhaps even Paul in general. At the very least, if it expands on what she has already given us in this slim volume, it will absolutely reenergize our engagement with this part of the New Testament.

When in Romans, stay a while…
Format: Kindle
Too often what we have read is enough. Gave at challenges us to see new life in Romans. Worth reading.

Not Your Typical Biblical Commentary
Format: Kindle
This is more like a sermon than a commentary as most people would expect commentaries to be. It examines the Book of Romans thematically, as the themes run throughout the book, illustrating the themes with popular culture and contextualized in contemporary church struggles. If you are expecting the chapter by chapter and verse by verse exegesis, you will not find it here. What you will find is helpful lens with which to understand the epistle.
