Deze biologische Piemonte Barbera van Volpi heeft een heerlijke volle smaak, mooie geuren van kersen vullen de neus en in de mond is hij sappig en aangenaam vol, heeft een fijne doordrinkbaarheid. 

De fles heeft een restyle gehad en ziet anders uit dan op getoonde foto. De wijn is nu in een bourgogne fles met wit en rood etiket met het predikaat BIOLOGISCH.

Het is een verrassende volle wijn met een goede afdronk en is een mooie wijn bij gegrild of gebakken vlees, maar ook bij pasta's en risotto's.

Cantine Volpi ontstond ruim honderd jaar geleden in 1914, toen een vrouw, Cristina, samen met haar twee net volwassen geworden kinderen een oude taverne kocht, “Il Cappel Verde”, in het centrum van Tortona. Daar begonnen ze met de verkoop van wijn per glas.

Van het glas, naar het vat, naar de fles. De evolutie van het bedrijf maakte een keerpunt met de bouw in 1957 van het wijnhuis Viguzzolo, speciaal voor de vinificatie van Colli Tortonesi-druiven. In 1962 volgde de bouw van het modernere wijnhuis Tortona, bestemd voor de botteling.

In 2019 opende Cantine Volpi de nieuwe wijnmakerij, die alle productieactiviteiten in de faciliteit in Tortona samenbrengt - van de verwerking van de druiven tot de verpakking van het eindproduct. Daarmee werd de historische fabriek in Viguzzolo buiten gebruik gesteld en ontstond een wijnbouwkundig centrum, een van de eerste fabrieken in zijn soort in het gebied en in Piemonte. In 2022 besloot de familie een vleugel van de boerderij van "La Zerba" in Volpedo te renoveren en te restaureren, met als doel een proeflokaal te verkrijgen, midden in de wijngaarden van Timorasso en Barbera.

Honest review. Levis quality, the color "coffee" is actually a real dark brown and is not denim, is corduroy. The Dark Brown looks like an "olive brown" color. The "standard" fit feels perfect width on the torso but too long, with slight long sleeves. The "Original" fit feels the same as the standard fit but slightly smaller. The "relax" fit has perfect length sleeves (on the shorter side), comfortable torso width for layering, but way too long. Hope this helps you choose.

Perfect! Read this for large size

Man, let me tell you when I say I've never been so nervous about an amazon order before. I've wanted one of these for a long time but the reviews had me a little shook. I'm 6' tall and 210lbs. I'm definitely not fat but I do have a bit of a beer belly, the rest of me is pretty lean and muscular. I measured my chest at 44" while wearing a light hoodie. The size chart said I should be a large and so that's what I ordered. It fits perfectly, I can honestly say an XL would probably be too big. The large is not too tight, not too loose. I have plenty of room in my shoulders, and I can wear a flannel shirt and hoodie under it and button it closed comfortably. The arms are the perfect length for me as well, falling just past the wrist. I read a few reviews about the quality of the denim, I got the rinse color (dark wash) and it feels plenty high quality to me. No issues that I can see with the pockets, buttons, or stitching anywhere. I did however get a blank red tag on the front pocket which concerned me, I looked that up and apparently Levi manufacturers 10% of their products with blank red tags instead of saying "Levi" and supposedly that makes them more valuable because of the rarity? Whatever, I don't care about that as long as it's not a knockoff. I plan to wear this for a long time so the resell value is of little importance to me anyways. Even if it was a knockoff, I'd probably keep it anyways because of how good it looks. Overall I'm pretty happy with this purchase and would recommend.
