De basis van elke prairieborder zijn siergrassen. Vedergras, uit het geslacht Stipa is een populair grassoort om aan te planten in prairieborders en prairietuinen. Deze soort wordt ongeveer 70 cm hoog. De andere soort, het Diamantgras zorgt weer voor meer hoogte in uw tuin of border. Deze groeit ongeveer 150cm hoog. In de wintermaanden zullen de bladeren verkleuren. Dit effect geeft een prachtig beeld in uw tuin en border. Daarnaast zijn deze twee siergrassen onderhoudsvriendelijk. Snoeien is alleen nodig bij dode en lelijke bladeren.

Beide siergrassen uit borderpakket Pien staan graag op een plek in de volle zon. Geschikt voor tuinen en borders die op het zuiden liggen.

Op een bodem die:

Bemeste tuinaarde is een zeer geschikt grondsoort. Zorg ervoor dat de planten in de zomer niet uitdrogen en in de winter niet langdurige onderwater staan.

Borderpakket Pien is samengesteld om aan te planten in prairietuinen. Ontdek op deze pagina alle borderpakketten - prairietuin van Yarinde. In verhoogde border planten

Zet deze siergrassen in een iets verhoogde border. Dit maakt de grassen nog mooier. Kies uit onze terracotta borderstenen of corten stalen randen. Bestel uw tuinplanten in combinatie met trendy borderranden simpel via onze webwinkel. Wij bezorgen alle artikelen door heel Nederland en Vlaanderen.

De potmaat (P9)

De siergrassen uit het m2 pakket Pien worden standaard geleverd in potten van potmaat P9. Dit zijn vierkante potten van 9 bij 9 centimeter. De grassen vormen in deze pot een sterk wortelstelsel. Dit sterke wortelstelsel zorgt ervoor dat de planten snel en goed aanslaan na het aanplanten.

Het aanplanten:

Graaf een gat dat ongeveer twee keer zo groot is als de kluit van de plant. Meng vervolgens de opgegraven aarde met potgrond & grondverbeteraar (dit maakt een aarde mengsel). Sproei wat water in het plantengat en plaats de kluit (zonder plastic container) in het plantgat. De kluit en de bodem moeten even hoog zijn, zo plant u de planten niet te diep én niet te ondiep. Vul het gat aan met het aarde mengsel en druk het geheel goed aan. Geef na het aanplanten direct een ruime hoeveelheid water. Tip: plant uw nieuwe planten vroeg op de dag óf later in de avond aan, zo verdampt het water niet voordat het de wortels bereikt.

Yarinde Tip: verbeter uw zandgrond of uw kleigrond!

Zandgrond: Bestel direct 2kg DCM Bentoniet - zandgrondverbeteraar met watervasthoudend vermogen mee. Bentoniet heeft de eigenschap om water en voedingstoffen beter vast te houden, perfect voor de droge grond in uw tuin of border!

Kleigrond: Beste direct mee: DCM Lava - Kleigrondverbeteraar - maakt de bodem luchtig. DCM kleigrondverbeteraar is DE oplossing voor zware kleigronden met een ondoordringbare bodemstructuur, die vaak verstoken blijft van zuurstof. De Vulkanische lavakorrels (0-3 mm) maken de bodem luchtig en helpen hiermee de inworteling van uw tuinplanten. De lavakorrels creëren meer poriën in de bodem en stimuleert hiermee de waterhuishouding. Hierdoor wordt overtollig regenwater eerder en makkelijker afgevoerd. Uw grond zal minder snel onderwater staan.

Before I purchase anything, I like to reach out to the seller first and find out more about the warranty. Elisa responded very quickly and explained the warranty to me. She also told me how to register my frother once I received it. My frother was delivered in the evening so I used it the following day. I didn't need to charge it because it already had a charge. It was easy to use and frothed my 2% milk and my flavored creamer perfectly. I am very happy with it, so far. To sum it up: 1) Elisa was responsive and genuinely seemed to care about her customers, which gave me confidence in making this purchase. 2) Frother works great with milk and milk products. 3) I'm glad I won't have to be replacing batteries. All I have to do is plug it in and I'll be good to go. Plus, the charging cord comes with it. If you are having doubts let me reassure you, you won't be sorry if you purchase it. Beyond worth it!

Before this, I used battery powered frothers and couldn’t keep up with replacing the batteries. As soon as the batteries began to lose their charge, the frothers weren’t powerful enough. Somehow, this doesn’t begin to lose its charge until the charge runs out. I’ve spent a fraction of the price buying this as I did on batteries. I got this in Aug 2024. It’s amazing and incredibly powerful. In a year, I charged it 3 times. If you don’t get the froth you’re looking for, I’d suggest you watch a video on how to froth correctly. I learned there’s a proper technique that really improves the outcome. It made a world of difference for me. The charge time advertised is not correct. It lasts much much much longer on one charge. After the charge died, I charged it for maybe an hour and then I used it to whisk thick body butter. When washing it, I got it too wet. The motor wouldn’t stop running, so I called it a loss and put it outside to let it run until it stopped. It ran for hours. Sometime during the night it shut off. The next day, I pressed the on button again and it ran the entire day. It has a warranty, but I never registered mine, so I don’t mind paying for a replacement since it is so inexpensive. I’m writing this review now because I liked it so much that I just purchased another one to replace it. I hope this helps. If you’re unsure: It is incredibly powerful, but has two speeds, so one will work for any frothing needs. The price is unbeatable, much less than you’ll spend on batteries. The charge lasts unbelievably long and stays just as powerful until the charge runs out. It is detachable, so washing it is really simple. Just wipe the top part.

See update below.* Second Update: I received the new version (FoodVille MF09), and really like it. It solves the variable speed problem. Three speeds are still available, however, each has its own on/off switch, so no more cycling through. It also comes with an additional hook attachment for mixing powders with liquid, as well as a charging stand. It is a few dollars more, but most definitely worth it! In addition to fixing the speed issue, they have included a charging dock. I've had this frother for a few months now. Overall, it works as well as my Aerolatte hand-held that died. I like that it is rechargeable, since I went through quite a lot of batteries before. My problem with this is the way you have to cycle through the speeds, rather than just selecting the one you want. This is a problem because sometimes I'll need to stop it before I'm finished and then when I resume it is on the next faster speed, which causes the milk to fly out of the glass before I can get back to the lower setting. I have ruined at least one shirt with stains from the flying milk. Also, because of where the on/off button is, and because of its sensitivity, I sometimes turn it off accidentally, which of course causes the milk to slosh everywhere getting back to the lower setting. I really wish you could just pick a speed, even if that means just a high and a low. I'm thinking of going back to a single speed frother. All but the lowest speed seems to be too strong to froth milk anyway. So, it works, it has good battery life, but cycling through the speeds has been a problem for me. I'll keep using it for now, but may be in the market for something different soon.
