Van Alvaro werd verwacht dat hij naar Bordeaux ging om wijnbouw te studeren. Via een stage op Chateau Petrus raakte hij geboeid door de bijzondere terroir en de grootsheid van de wijn. Na zijn studie koos hij niet naar het familiedomein terug te keren maar zijn eigen weg te gaan. Hij sluit zich in 1989 aan bij enkele pioniers die de revival van de wijngaarden van Priorat nastreven. Met veel gevoel voor terroir, maar ook het eeuwenoude cultuurlandschap, slaagt Alvaro erin zijn Priorat wijnen tot een immens succes te maken. Een volgend project start hij met neef Ricardo Perez in de wijnstreek Bierzo. Hier concentreren ze zicht op de biologische teelt van de rode Mencia druif. Het succes ervan versterkt het aanzien van Alvaro. Na het overlijden van zijn vader neemt Alvaro op verzoek van de familie ook Palacios Remondo onder zijn hoede. In de wijngaarden van de familie neemt Alvaro na zijn komst drastische maatregelen. In korte tijd wordt de productie teruggebracht met 60% en weet hij de kwaliteit meer dan navenant te verhogen. Naast aandacht voor terroir is zijn geloof in Garnacha voor Rioja zeer opmerkelijk. De Vendimia wordt gemaakt van gelijke delen Garnacha en Tempranillo. Hij wordt omschreven als een superRioja 'nieuwe stijl' die na vinificatie een korte rijping op eiken vaten kreeg. Het is een uitbundige wijn met rood en zwart fruit en fijne kruidigheid, aardse tonen en zachte tannine.La Vendimia is de naam van de jonge Rioja die Palacios Remondo maakt. Opmerkelijk is dat hij uit gelijke delen Garnache en Tempranillo bestaat. Alvaro Palacios gelooft heilig in de Garnacha druif, ook voor Rioja. It was the perfect suit for our big day!

Purple size xs. He's 5'9" 145-150lbs. Very impressed with this suit. The color and pattern is awesome. The fit was good. I would say this suit runs large. Usually he wears a Medium in everything but ordered an XS and it fit very well. The pants were long we had to get those hemmed. There was a few stray strings by the end of the night in areas of the suit. But overall good quality. And for a great price.

We were excited and I wanted to like it but...

We ordered this for Prom and it was supposed to be a size small, which was available for Prime ordering, but had to settle for xsmall. The pants, fortunately fit well and just need to be hemmed, the vest is great and the jacket is snug. My son has broad shoulders and I was hesitant to buy the xsmall, but it does fit just right. The only thing he would need to do is unbutton the jacket while he is dancing and maybe take it off while seated and eating dinner before prom. The material is surprisingly nice and has weight to it. I was relieved it isn't flimsy. The overall look on my son is smooth and we love the pattern and the material has shine to it. I was not happy that right out of the package, the button to the jacket could potentially fall off during because it doesn't look securely sewed in. The side of the right side of the jacket has thread already coming apart. And I found a little snag in a different location. I'm really not happy about that. I posted photos so you can see what I mean. We were excited about this suit, but it's going back. The company needs to do better with quality control.

Nice Pants
Got these for my son who is starting to need more professional clothing for work and he really likes them. We sized up since they are suit pants and glad that we did. They fit himn well and even with the sklim fit they aren't too tight due to us sizing up. They are nice and long (he is 6 foot) and fit him nicely. They have a little give so he can still ride his bike to work in them comfortably. They do have a little bit of a thin feel to them but so far that hasn't been an issue. Breathable and comfortable. Will likely purchase another pair for him.
