Gaandeweg ontwierpen ze een reeks meubels en beelden. Van al die oorspronkelijke ontwerpen bleek de twee delige olifant de grootste technische uitdaging omwille van de sterke meervoudige krommingen. Gaandeweg ontwierpen ze een reeks meubels en beelden. Van al die oorspronkelijke ontwerpen bleek de twee-delige olifant de grootste technische uitdaging omwille van de sterke meervoudige krommingen. Het stuk ging daarom nooit in serieproductie. De 14 jaar oude Lucia Eames, dochter van Charles, kreeg een prototype dat later werd uitgeleend voor een tentoonstelling in het Museum of Modern Art in New York in 1946. Vandaag is dit prototype nog altijd in het bezit van de familie Eames.

De olifant die Charles en Ray Eames aanvankelijk uit multiplex hebben ontwikkeld in 1945 is verkrijgbaar in kunststof in verschillende kleuren en niet alleen voor in kinderkamers!

I like it. Keeps things organized and handy in small kitchen. The attachable bin holding my brushes I put on outside of unit not inside as company pics show it. That bin only has one clip to hold it in place. This makes it a little wobbly if you want to place it on the outside like I did. I used 2 trash bag twisties to help tighten it into place. Doing this made it no longer lose and the inside area space larger to hold both of my soaps. Fits everything I need it to. I appreciated the little lever on bottom that moves for water drainage.
