With classic PRS sound and style, the SE Hollowbody II Piezo delivers on a hollow and solidbody experience unlike any other. The SE Hollowbody II Piezo is constructed with a maple back and top with mahogany sides. This hollowbody construction is light and acoustically resonant off the bat for any player to pick up and strum along with, even unplugged. A mahogany neck in a PRS Wide Fat shape fits easily in the palm while an ebony fingerboard with PRS Birds inlays slips smoothly across the fingers. At first touch, this PRS is a seamlessly accessible instrument.
The electronics on the SE Hollowbody II Piezo are groundbreaking for electric guitars at large. This PRS is designed with two discrete volume controls, one for magnetics and one for its piezo acoustic pickup. When used in combination with the guitar's "Mix/Piezo" jack, players can harness both electronics configurations, 58/15 "S" humbuckers and piezo, to summon a colorful canvas of acoustic and electric tones. Alternatively, players can plug into the jacks separately to run the magnetic pickups into an amplifier onstage while the piezos acoustic tones go to a DI or an acoustic amp.
