Background of Yamamoto's Sword
Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto is a character from the popular anime and manga series Bleach, created by Tite Kubo. He is the captain of the 1st Division and the founder and captain-commander of the Gotei 13, the organization of Soul Reapers responsible for protecting the human world from malicious spirits.
Yamamoto's Zanpakuto, the weapon used by Soul Reapers in Bleach, is named Ryūjin Jakka, which translates to "Flowing Flame Blade." Ryūjin Jakka is one of the most powerful and feared Zanpakuto in the series. It takes the form of a standard katana with a slightly curved blade and a hilt wrapped in purple fabric.
Ryūjin Jakka's abilities revolve around fire manipulation and immense destructive power. Its release command is "Reduce All Creation to Ash" (Jōkaku Enjō). When Yamamoto activates his Zanpakuto's Shikai form, the blade transforms into a massive flaming sword that radiates intense heat and spiritual pressure. The flames generated by Ryūjin Jakka are said to be the hottest in all of Soul Society.
