API Super Activated Carbon is used to make aquariums crystal clear by removing dissolved organics, colors, toxins, and fish remedies without affecting phosphate levels or pH.

API® SUPER ACTIVATED CARBON makes your aquarium crystal clear with its premium-grade, high porosity carbon for maximum absorption and minimal aquarium maintenance, removing dissolved organics, colors, toxins, and fish remedies. This product will not raise phosphate levels in your tank, and will not affect pH. It comes in a convenient, easy-to-use pouch and is compatible with freshwater and saltwater aquariums.

Instructions
Rinse pouch under tap water to remove any dust. Pouch does not need to rinse clear. Place pouch in path of water flow in the aquarium filter. Replace every month or sooner if aquarium is heavily stocker and/or colors and odors are detected.

How does API SUPER ACTIVATED CARBON work?
API SUPER ACTIVATED CARBON removes dissolved particles, as well as odors, colors, toxins, fish remedies, and other dissolved organics that carbon filters may leave behind, which can adversely affect aquarium conditions. Made with a higher grade of carbon, API SUPER ACTIVATED CARBON absorbs more than regular carbon and does not affect pH.

Is API SUPER ACTIVATED CARBON safe for all types of aquariums?
Yes, API SUPER ACTIVATED CARBON is safe for all aquarium types, even sensitive reef systems.

Should I remove my filtration media before dosing with API SUPER ACTIVATED CARBON?
Products that are designed to remove things from your aquarium, such as filter media, will also remove dosed fish remedy from your tank. For best results from fish remedy, remove your filtration media as you dose.

What should API ACTIVATED FILTER CARBON be placed in to use properly in a filter (i.e. are there empty filter bags that would be appropriate for this product?)
API ACTIVATED FILTER CARBON should be placed in the filter inside the filter cartridge, or in a filter media bag. Be sure to follow your filter manufacturer’s instructions.

Squishy and comfy
Very well made bed. Had I known about Amazon Basics brand sooner, I would have gotten two of these earlier. The other bed I purchased was a Snoozer XL and it arrived in a super compact state; the filler was even compressed and is therefore not as squishy and comfy as this Amazon Basics bed. The dog pictured is about 41 lbs, so it's perfect for her size (my other dog is a 70 lb pittie and he also fits on the bed).The 'hood' does detach, whereas the Snoozer one is permanently attached. Having the hood detach for washing the cover was another plus for this bed. The zippers are heavy duty and the 'sheepskin' is soft (I haven't washed the cover yet, so I don't know if it will pill). This bed arrived ready to use out of the box (very basic packaging); the filler was not compressed, so the bed is definitely more fluffy. This is the XL size and it is smaller than the Snoozer XL size but fits the corner of my room better. This is definitely worth the money.

A few things: 1) this bed is much smaller than you think. Even if you measure it the way it’s constructed makes the area under the flap super small. 2) my dogs, burrow under blankets, covers, everything. But they don’t burrow under this. It’s designed to be appealing to humans, but dogs don’t care for it. 3) you probably already read this another reviews, but the flap doesn’t really stay up at all. That wouldn’t be a problem for my dogs, but it may be for yours. My recommendation – don’t buy this. It’s a gimmick. They make others with larger areas under the flap that are more expensive, but it’s worth the money instead of wasting it on this.
