When to Replace

• Cracked Internal Shaft: The most common failure; the plastic "D" shaped sleeve on the back of the knob splits, causing the knob to spin freely without turning the actual selector.

Installation Tips

• Straight Pull: No tools are typically required. Simply grasp the old knob firmly and pull it straight toward you. If it is stuck, you can wrap a thin piece of cloth behind it and pull on the cloth to provide even pressure.
• Align the "D": Look at the back of the new knob and identify the flat side of the "D" hole. Match this to the flat side of the metal or plastic shaft on the machine's control board.
• Firm Press: Once aligned, push the knob firmly onto the shaft until it clicks or sits flush against the console. Do not use a hammer or excessive force, as this can damage the delicate encoder on the control board.
• Function Test: Turn the knob through all cycle settings to ensure it rotates smoothly and that the machine's display updates correctly with each click.
