Kory Clarke was probably never long for Trouble, but this 2008 live (and only) release featuring himself and the band documents the good, the bad and the ugly of his tenure. Coming in after the legendary Eric Wagner left (again) Clarke exhibits none of the mournful wail that Wagner had and instead is like a rocket fueled injection into the Trouble vocalist spot. Wartell, Franklin and Olsen are there to hold down the fort as the band makes it's way through a set of material from the Simple Mind Condition release with sprinkles of their not too distant past thrown in for good measure. Instead of recording an all new studio album with Clarke and letting him cherry pick from the catalog the songs that work best for him (ala Van Halen w/Hagar or Dio w/Heaven and Hell) the band hit the road with Clarke manning the boards. His raspy whiskey soaked vocals lend themselves to songs such as The Eye and The Sleeper but run afoul as he never could quite get the classic Tempter down right as to why it's not featured here. No doubt Clarke's antiestablishment rhetoric fits the band lending some of these songs a more poignant bent as he screams 'middle east Vietnam' during Plastic Green Head, but it's also nice when the band pops into the instrumental Endtime giving Clarke a moment to rest. Live in Los Angles is a document to a band in flux as Clarke would exit and Exhorder front man Kyle Thomas would enter next.

Perfect for what I need.

These floating shelves are perfect for the price. There a number of things that I think other reviewers just get wrong. Here are some thoughts and tips: 1) QUALITY: Yes, these are not super high quality. They are not real wood and they are hollow. BUT, real wood is more expensive. You're getting two shelves for about $100. if you want higher quality then you'll have to spend more. For me, i wanted something that looked good and could store knick-knacks. And these certainly fit the bill. It amazes me how people who spend the least always demand the most. 2) STRENGTH: Some people have said these aren't very strong and sag at the ends. These are floating shelves and the ones I got were 12 inches deep. That is a significant amount of leverage on the mounting hardware. it's not that the shelves or the mounts are cheap; it's that physics simply makes floating shelves like this inherently less stable and unable to hold significant weight. SOLUTION: You have a number of things here that will add to stability. This company provides a generous amount of screws and anchors. USE THEM. If the shelf is long enough, make sure you catch at least two studs to anchor into. There are a decent number of screw eyelets in the mount and they are wide, meaning you have room to play. Finding a stud to mount into should not be too challenging. So that's two screws right there. As for the other eyelets, you will be forced to use wall anchors. Wall anchors are another one of those things that are simply inherently not that strong. They are not meant to take much of a load. But the more you can use, the better. Just know that those can provide some stability but they really don't add a tremendous amount of added strength. Additionally: if you have a 3d printer or know someone who does, print a support. I was able to find some really discreet supports to print that do not detract from the floating nature of these shelves. If you mount them on one or two sides, you'll have far less "sagging". The additional supports will add significant strength and stability. Given the magic of 3d printing filament, you can literally get any color you need so that you can blend seamlessly into the wall (or just print whatever color and then paint it). If you can use PETG or ASA, or some other strong filament, then you'll be golden. PLA can definitely be used, but just be familiar with the strength limitations of PLA. All in all, these do the job. They are attractive and support just enough weight to serve their purpose.

Poor Quality for the price

I have had these for about a week and so far i am not happy with them. They look good up but they are made only of thin particle board, the brackets do not not hold tight, i used the included Sheetrock holders and screws and i think the screws are to big for the holders and just dont hold well. Currently my shelves are empty because when i put something on them the shelves tilts forward. I am trying to decide if i can fix somehow or if I should just return them.
