Crazy Taxi 2 introduces the 'Crazy Hop' ability which allows taxi drivers to leap over small obstacles allowing for more crazy shortcuts and faster times. Performing these alongside 'Crazy Dash' techniques will net the player a bigger bonus.
New maps have been added as well! 'Small Apple' and 'Around Apple' both of which are based off of New York City. These new cities have four new cabbies: Slash, Iceman, Cinnamon and Hot-D, which alongside veterans Axel, B.D. Joe, Gena and Gus brings the total playable cast to eight.
