The so-called "whiplash line" is one of the defining hallmarks of the Art Nouveau style. Here, the whiplash curves in a graceful arabesque around a sparkling gemstone and entwines around your finger. The Arabesque Ring is dainty and elegant when worn alone; but this slender stacking ring is designed to nestle closely with one or more accompanying bands.

This sparkly amethyst and sterling silver ring is handcrafted and made to order. Wear it by itself, or customize a stack of skinny bands and coordinating gemstone rings - the possibilities to mix and match are endless.

In Greek mythology, the nymph Amethystos refused the attentions of Dionysus, the god of wine and intoxication. Thus, in ancient times, the gem which bears her name was believed to ward off drunkenness. It is also believed to increase intuition and psychic abilities, and is used in meditation to promote a clarity of vision and clear-thinking.
Because of amethyst's rich royal color, in medieval Europe it was associated with monarchs and the rich and powerful. Amethyst is a variety of quartz and occurs in shades ranging from lavender to deep violet.

Amethyst is the birthstone for February, as well as the traditional gift for a 6th wedding anniversary.

Concise
Format: Paperback
I recently discovered how little I know about my own faith. This book is the second in a series of Penguin books on the history of the church. The author does an excellent job of providing an overview of the social setting of the middle ages and how the papacy, the East-West schism and the religious orders developed during this time period. I recommend this book to anyone who wants to understand more about how we got to where we are.

Sad to say Christians killed "infidels" too
Format: Paperback
A real eye-opener! Christians were killing "infidels" in the middle ages and the infidels were other Christians, Jews and Muslims.

A great book about the middle ages
Format: Paperback
If I was ignorant as most Americans are who call themselves Christian and do not know anything about the middle ages and the development and Christianity I would read this as a good over view.

Love this beautiful serving plate!
Beautiful, meaningful, loving energy radiates from this practical serving plate. I bought it as a gift for my daughter for her bridal shower. Every time she and her husband use it, it sets a loving, kind and welcoming tone for each other, and all who share a meal with them!
