6.5x13 Rectangle + Red ClayCotto, a Terra Cotta love story. Cotto (from the Italian terra cotta or "baked earth") is part of a long line of fired clays that date back to the dawn of civilization itself. From Egyptian water jugs to Chinese roof tiles to Roman bricks terra cotta has been part of the human story for as long as we've had an alphabet. The materials that go into making our Cotto haven't changed much over the millennia, but the way in which they're fired has evolved.

From kiln furniture to mold designs to firing method, our handmade and high-fired Cotto is our modern take on an ancient world tradition.
We make Cotto in Mexico, a country with an incredibly rich history in ceramic arts. The techniques to manufacture our modern terra cotta have their roots in the arrival of the Spanish and the establishment of San Miguel de Allende in 1551. A UNESCO World Heritage site, San Miguel is arguably one the most important colonial cities in all of the Americas. It's also covered in historic terra cotta. From ancient roof tiles to 400 year old floors, it's a city that takes fired clay to a whole new level. It's also the fitting home of our Cotto line.
How It's Made
Made from locally sourced organic clays, our hand crafted Cotto elevates the storied tradition of terra cotta. Each clay formulation is mixed with water and blended to the ideal consistency. The clay mixture is pressed to shape in a mold and allowed to dry for 1-2 weeks. This is to achieve the right moisture level for firing. It's also at this point that wood ash is added to the surface of our "Fired Earth" tiles. The ash is what gives Fired Earth its unique surface coloration. An important note here this process is highly dependent on the weather. San Miguel has a distinct rainy season that can delay drying times by quite a bit! Once dried, tiles are brushed and stacked, ready for the kiln.
What Sets Our Cotto Apart?
Unlike most Cotto or traditional terra cotta, we high-fire our clay at 1260 Centigrade (230 Fahrenheit). What this means is that the terra cotta becomes "semi-vitrified" increasing in density and decreasing in porosity. Special kiln furniture is needed at such high temperatures to ensure the tiles don't warp or bend. It is also the most difficult step in their manufacture, requiring a skilled technician throughout the day and a half firing period. The result is an incredibly durable, highly unique tile that is unlike any other terra cotta on Earth.Shipping Notes

Nice quality for a good price
Color: Luminous watch black face
Bought this for my boyfriend for Christmas. He loves it! Nice coloring, looks like the pictures. Fits nicely and comfortably once the size was adjusted. He did have some difficulty in sizing it - the little tool provided could’ve been of better quality to make this process easier but it did the job.

3/5 Stars – Looks far more expensive than it is
Color: Luminous watch black face, Color: Luminous watch black face
The OLEVS 5885 is about what you’d expect from a ~$30 watch, but in a good way. I bought it knowing it wasn’t going to compete with higher-end brands, and with that expectation in mind I’ve actually been pretty impressed.
The biggest standout is the appearance. This watch looks far nicer than its price point would suggest. I get compliments on it fairly regularly from both friends and random people who assume it cost much more than it did. If you’re looking for something stylish on a budget, it definitely delivers in that department.
Functionally, it does its job well enough. It keeps time reliably and hasn’t given me any real issues there. The glass/crystal is also surprisingly durable. I’ve worn this watch quite a bit, and while the rest of the case and bezel have picked up scratches over time, the face itself has held up extremely well.
Another pleasant surprise is the bezel. It’s functional and unidirectional, with strong, clear, tactile clicks. It feels solid and hasn’t loosened up with use.
That said, the cheaper elements do show up if you look closely. The bezel markings are pretty cheap and scratch easily. Also, the small lume marker at the 12:00 position on the bezel fell out during the second week of owning the watch.
Overall though, I’m quite happy with it. For the price, it looks much more high-end than it really is, and I can comfortably use it as an everyday tool watch without worrying about babying it like a luxury piece.

Good cheap watch. Watch band could be better
Color: Luminous watch black face
The timepiece itself is use of decent quality and is perfectly acceptable for everyday use. I'm pretty rough on my watches and this watch fits the bill as I go about my daily routine. It keeps good time and has a good looking face. It seems many have trouble with the watch band sizing. The arrows on the inside of the watch band show the direction the pins should be pushed out. The pins stick out ever so slightly on one side or the other of the watch band giving the band a rough feel. I used a soft nail file and polished the pins smooth. The watch band feels much better afterwards. I would buy it again and recommend the watch to anyone looking for a cheap timepiece.

unless you are adept at figuring out how to fix things , don't buy.
Color: Luminous watch black face
This watch looks good but it's not easy to remove the links , to make it shorter. Also the clasp broke right away! It was a waste of money for me.
