Winner of the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1925, George Bernard Shaw was responsible for a radical turn in comedic drama and a fervent socialist, critic and playwright. One of only two people to have won both an Academy Award and a Nobel Prize, Shaw won his Oscar in 1939 for Best Screenplay for the adaptation of his own play Pygmalion, which would be successfully remade as the iconic musical My Fair Lady.

This particular collection displays all the diversity of his talent, including his most popular titles such as Androcles and the Lion (with Overruled and Pygmalion), The Doctor's Dilemma (with Getting Married) and Plays Pleasant (Arms and the Man).
