This is a beautiful spindle of Pacific Madrone wood. It has light peach color with darker peach undertones. Madrona tends to have a lot of color variation throughout, and we think you will be very pleased with these spindles. This is a fully air-dried blank, measuring 10-12% moisture content. This size of spindle is useful for a range of turning, carving, or other woodworking projects. About the Tree

This Madrona tree lived a long and healthy life on San Juan Island, Washington. It died naturally and was harvested in the course of good forest management.
