On-demand grinding straight into the portafilter
Dose by time, grind on demand, into the basket. No hopper-emptying between beans, no separate doser to fuss with. Single and double dose programmable, so you set it once and hit the button.
Stepless micrometric adjustment
Stepless grind adjustment means there are no fixed clicks between settings, you can move the burrs in whatever increment you need. Dialling in a new coffee comes down to small turns rather than committing to the next preset along.
LCC system
Lelit's LCC system handles the grind parameters from the control panel. Dose times, adjustments, the lot, managed on the front of the grinder rather than through a wall of dials.
Built to keep up with a prosumer machine
The William is pitched squarely at people running a serious espresso setup at home. If you've invested in a dual boiler or heat exchange machine, this is the grinder that won't be the weak link in the chain.
About this generation
The William has been in Lelit's range for a few generations. The PL72 is the current revision, with the LCC control system new to this generation. Field also stocks the previous PL71 for buyers replacing an existing setup. Functionally the burrs, footprint, and grind workflow are the same across both.
