BVON Splotch Camo HoodieHand designed, printed, cut, sewn, and sent out by hand, the BVON Splotch camo design was created for my youngest sons airsoft battles with friends. He uses a Steyr AUG, so I based the initial concept on Austria's Tarnanzug Neu camouflage used by the Bundesheer, which is a modern take on Flecktarn. I prefer to hand-draw my patterns for greater control, allowing me to strategically scale both macro and micro patterns for consistent concealment at various distances. At close and medium range, the smaller shapes create a sense of movement and rhythm. At a distance, these elements disrupt the recognizable silhouette.
The combination of smaller patterns forming larger macro elements also helps with movement concealment. By using smaller patterns that avoid stark lines, the design remains effective even when moving. This is particularly useful for teenagers, who often struggle to stay still in the bush. The 5-color micro/macro Flecktarn pattern helps blur movement at medium range.
