Syzygy is the new ancient one added to the collection of Eldritch Horror, not so much a creature of flesh but a place in time and space that is inevitable, unlike other ancient ones up to this point, syzygy will 'awaken' when two of the three mysteries have been solved or when a certain number of eldritch tokens have been played. There is no stopping Syzgyg happening! Of course, Syzygy comes with its own set of mysteries to solve like plea at the court of Azathoth, or fortifying the barrier!
Joining the investigators in the fight are four new characters, Marie Lambeau the entertainer, "Skids" O'Toole the Ex-convict, Tony Morgan the bounty hunter and Zoe Samaras the Chef. Each bringing their own unique skills and abilities to the final days.
Not only do the investigators have the mystery of the mythos to solve, but they may also delve into the all new mystic ruins, spread across the globe, these encounters can provide powerful bonuses or costly disasters to the players! Along with the new assets, artefacts and spells the players will be able to use to help. But beware the glamour spells might just drive you insane, or worse.
As there are new investigators fighting the new ancient one it is only fair that there are new monsters to stop the investigators, the prowling werewolf and the might star vampire are but a couple of the new creatures that will ooze out of the shadowed darkness and into the light of the apocalypse.
