Although these bumpers are made with 3/16 inch steel and 1/4 inch reinforcements throughout, DV8 shaves every pound possible off the bumper with strategic cutouts and mesh aluminum grills that can be removed and color matched to the vehicle. DV8 also integrates 3 LED light holes into the bumper for improved visibility. This bumper has 2 shackle recovery points and is designed to accommodate up to a 16,000 lbs. winch. The 3 piece design allows for easy replacement if one of the pieces is damaged in an accident and also provides the opportunity to swap out the end pieces for a different style i.e. Baja, plate, high clearance etc. DV8 Offroad did not sacrifice style or functionality when making these bumpers modular. Every bumper uses razor thin adjoining edges to keep the full-size bumper look and brackets that extend from the bumper ends to the frame where necessary to provide excellent strength and rigidity. This bumper comes powder coated in a sand texture black finish. This finish can be left as is or can be sanded down and painted over to color match the bumper to the vehicle. Excellent value.
The instructions were pretty easy to follow. I appreciate that there was an extra screw of each size provided, just in case. I wish there had been clearer indications on how to handle the cord or the included light. I ran it down the inside and mounted the switch on the inside of the display shelf.
I bought the white variant; however, beacause I am not fond of black furniture and tend towards bright colors, I used blue spray paint to cover the black metal and make the piece better fit my decor. A white with white option would have been ideal, but now I have a unique piece so it all works out.
The value for the price is excellent. It is a large, sturdy piece that should prove functional for years to come. I am considering purchasing a second one for my husband's gaming space.

Looks great
The assembly instructions were clear and well done. Parts are all well made and holes were precision drilled. Very happy with this product.
It is heavy enough that mounting it on the wall is a chore. I strongly recommend you measure the holes and mark using a level and install your anchors - I used the white screw-in ones.
The control app for the LED strip doesn't have a good rating. I have to tap it a few times to get it to engage but it works.

Very solid and well build gaming shelf
Solid materials and great finishes on the wood and steel. Simple assembly and comes with extra hardware. Very sturdy.
