The heel takes a sleek silhouette and loads it with nostalgic details that feel lifted straight from the inside of a vintage compact. The upper is finished in an iridescent lilac colour-shift material that moves between soft purple, pink and blue depending on the light, giving the shoe a glossy, almost toy-like finish that feels unmistakably Polly.
Across the front, pastel beads are threaded into an oversized bow that sits at the centre of the design like a piece of jewellery. Soft candy tones mash and layer together to create something playful without feeling delicate. In the middle, a Polly Pocket enamel plate pulls everything together with a detail that feels collectible in the same way the original toys did.
Subtle embossed heart detail on the vamp, pressed directly into the upper as a nod to Polly’s signature iconography. Small enough to blend into the texture from a distance, obvious enough to reveal themselves up close.
The standout detail sits underneath. A transparent heel reveals a miniature retro Polly Pocket world sealed inside, turning the shoe into something halfway between footwear and display piece. Nostalgic, exaggerated and impossible not to stare at.

Online vs Instore

As to be expected, not seeing and touching before purchase. I bought three pairs of these shorts in different colors for a trip to see my son graduate from his Army National guard AIT. I would rate the overall a five based on fit, quality, and comfort. One thing that I have to mark down, is they have elastic waist bands as described! In the description pic's, they are shown with nice long tie strings. The reality of what I received is the stings are too short to tie. They were almost the same circumference as the waist band, so only able to tie in a small knot, rather than a bow. no Biggy, until it's time for the restroom. Hopefully it's self explanitory....fumbling around with a knot! waist fits as stated to my size, but add weight of wallet and cell phone, and after a few steps, they begin to slide down. Tie string a must. I will see about finding something longer, as I do like them overall!

I love them but pockets tear easily

I love them. They look nice and they are comfortable. I bought a total of three and they're all I wear in the summer.
Unfortunately the strap pockets wear out easily. On my left pocket I store a ridge wallet and my keys. For two of my most worn pair, the strap tore up to where it no longer holds the pocket closed properly. On one of those in the same pocket, a hole ended up torn in the corner. The third one I had to throw out after it shrunk after being washed improperly (can't wash them like I did my previous shorts which I washed the same way as the rest of my clothes).
I think I'll continue to wear them, maybe even buy one more, until I find something better.
