After the 7.1 magnitude earthquake that shook Canterbury on 4 September 2010, the news media were quick to report, with understandable relief, that no lives had been lost. In fact, this first quake killed at least 3000 chickens, eight cows, one dog, a lemur and 150 aquarium fish, and that was only the first of a series of even more catastrophic quakes that were to follow, in which many humans and animals perished. Animals in Emergencies: Learning from the Christchurch Earthquakes provides a record of what happened to the animals during and after these quakes, and asks what we can learn from these events and our response to them. The accounts of professionals and volunteers involved in the rescue, shelter and advocacy of the city's animals post-quakes are presented in the first part of the book, and are followed by the tales of individual animals. These accounts provide an honest and compelling historical record of how Christchurch's seismic activity affected human-animal relationships in both positive and negative ways. We share our lives with a variety of companion animals, including dogs, cats, horses, fish, birds, rats, rabbits, guinea pigs and turtles, and the stories of how the Canterbury earthquakes affected these animals are absorbing, sometimes heart-breaking and often heart-warming. The book also reports on the fate of urban wildlife such as hedgehogs, eels and seabirds, in the aftermath of liquefaction and other damage caused by mor

Fit/Feel
Size: X-Small, Color: Navy
I have ordered other medline scrubs from other sellers and these particular pants are by far the best fit and the best feel. The quality of this fabric is not only extremely comfortable, but also makes the pants fall/fit differently around the hips and waistline. By far the best medline scrubs I have ever bought. Now I'm trying to find the exact match for the tops. For others looking to buy medline scrubs: I have a very athletic body type, so hospital grade scrubs fit me best, and that's why I choose medline. Others such as grey's anatomy and the like tend to be too snug around my hips and thighs and look unprofessional. So keep that in mind if you're not the athletic body type or if hospital surgical scrubs don't fit your style

Inaccurate photo of scrub pants
Size: XX-Large, Color: Black
Scrubs fit fine. However. The string isn’t brown. It is a dark hunter green. So the nice looking contrast with the string that is shown in the pictures isn’t what was delivered. I contacted the manufacturer and they were zero help since I bought off of Amazon

Medium fits 5’8” 148-155 comfortably
Size: Medium, Color: Ceil Blue
These scrubs are just like the OR scrubs I’ve been provided by my jobs as a travel nurse. Durable, medium weight, wash and wear. Medium fits my 5’8” 148 - 155 lb hour glass figure. Kinda snug at 155 but I’m losing the holiday fluff to stay in this size.

Comfy!
I know my picture is not a good picture of the pants. Love these scrubs. They are reversible which makes the pants fit weird at first but once the draw string is tied. They fit good. My underwear doesn’t show when i bend down (this is something most women’s scrubs do). Material is thin and breathable but not see-through. I love this blue color and I will definitely be getting more colors.

Very inconsistent in sizing.
Size: Small, Color: Misty Green
These scrub pants are a beautiful color and soft fabric.
The down side to the Medline scrub pants is that they vary so much in size.
