The Fender Johnny Marr Jaguar is a unique and highly versatile guitar designed in collaboration with the legendary guitarist from The Smiths. This guitar combines classic Fender style with modern features and a signature voice that is all its own.
At the heart of the Fender Johnny Marr Jaguar is a lightweight offset body made from alder, finished in a sleek metallic lacquer. The guitar features a maple neck with a comfortable "custom C" profile, topped with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard.
One of the most distinctive features of the Johnny Marr Jaguar is its set of custom-wound Bare Knuckle Johnny Marr single-coil pickups. These pickups were designed to capture Marr's unique playing style and provide a wide range of tonal options, from jangly chime to heavy distortion. The pickups are wired to a specially configured four-way pickup selector switch and a dual upper-horn slide switch, allowing for a variety of tonal options and pickup combinations.
The Johnny Marr Jaguar also features a number of player-friendly features, such as a floating tremolo system with a lock button, a nylon bridge post bushing for improved stability, and a specially designed rhythm circuit with its own volume and tone controls.
Other features include vintage-style tuning machines, a synthetic bone nut, and a special engraved neck plate featuring Marr's signature.
