Explore the rich history of Australia’s involvement in the Great War with 'The Great War: Aftermath and Commemoration'. This authoritative book, published by NewSouth Publishing in 2019, delves deep into the legacy of World War I and its lingering effects on Australian society. Designed for history enthusiasts and scholars alike, the book offers a collection of thought-provoking essays from leading historians who dissect the complexities of war commemoration in contemporary Australia. As the centenary of the First World War approached, an 'Anzac revival' swept the nation, generating significant public discourse and spending on memorials and commemorations. This insightful text examines whether the prevailing narratives surrounding returning soldiers truly reflect their trauma, the experiences of Indigenous veterans, and the complex dynamics between Catholic and Protestant communities during and after the conflict.
Additionally, the book critiques how the Great War influenced Australia's national identity and its evolving role on the global stage following the Versailles Treaty. Readers will encounter critical reflections on how war commemoration has affected our understanding of Australia's past and present, reshaping our collective memory and identity.
Investigate the profound impacts of the Great War on our political system, national security policies, and societal cohesion. 'The Great War: Aftermath and Commemoration' is essential reading for those seeking to grasp the enduring legacies of war—an academic tour de force that is both engaging and enlightening for anyone interested in Australia’s historical and cultural landscape.

Too hard and heavy.
Color: Fowl Play
Very cute idea but my dog was not at all interested. It’s too hard for her to chew on. She didn’t even care enough about it to rip the outside. It’s hard and heavy. I will stick with the non-super chewer bark toys. They don’t last as long, but she loves them.

Tough & fun!
Color: Betty Bigfoot
This is my puppy’s favorite toy. I’ve bought 4 in case he eventually finds a way to destroy the ball because he is a 1 year old super-chewer. That said, this ball is TOUGH! It’s taken severe abuse from our dog & we couldn’t be more satisfied.

Not as tough as they make it seem
Color: Buck Wild, Color: Buck Wild
My dog chewed it up and destroyed it in less than 4 hours. I have a GSP 8 month old. She’s definitely a super chewer but this didn’t last at all. The tail crumbled apart and she ate some of it.

This is a HEAVY Toy
Color: Buck Wild
This toy is HEAVY. Really good quality, but my dog hasn’t shown much interest. If you can find a way to get your dog to play with it, I’m sure it would last for awhile.

Barkbox Betty
Color: Betty Bigfoot
A lot smaller than pictured. Still like it. Durable. Dog likes to carry toy around. Dog is 70 lbs and a heavy chewer and toy has lasted.
