How do I install the license key? To activate the upgrade, you must have a valid Motorola Solutions account to authenticate in their licensing portal. The EID is then registered and installed into the radio using Motorola Customer Programming Software (CPS).

Can the radio still use analog channels after the upgrade? Yes. Once the digital license is applied, the radio becomes a dual-mode device, capable of operating on both your existing analog channels and new digital DMR channels.
