The color is the rich, reddish brown of Mesquite heartwood with some creamy beige sapwood and dark chocolate bark. Mesquite Block M1190 3.7" x 3.7" x 14.3" 5 lbs. This is a beautiful end-grain block of Texas-grown Honey Mesquite. The color is the rich, reddish-brown of Mesquite heartwood with some creamy beige sapwood and dark-chocolate bark. There is complexity in the block with a crotch at the base, one or more vugs, some bark inclusions, and some cracks. This is probably not a block for a novice turner. If it were my project piece, I would start with some epoxy work in a contrasting color. The bark is full and well-attached, giving you some nice options on turning a natural-edged form. This block would make an exquisite vase, if you're looking for a large form turning. This is a GREEN to partially air-dried blank, meaning that it still retains some of its original moisture from when it was a living tree. It has been well-sealed with Anchor Seal and is in the process of slowly drying. It was heat-treated to kill off any hungry critters that may have been burrowing inside. It was measured at 20% MC in August 2022. If you need a current moisture content, please message us and we'll check its status for you. About the Tree This Texas-grown Honey Mesquite tree was harvested in El Campo, Texas in July of 2022. It was cut down by the city for reasons unknown to us, and we were happy to help save the tree from a burn pile. It is possible that this tree was damaged by the Valentine's Day Freeze that Texas suffered in February 2021, which is when our state lost a lot of beautiful trees in an unusually deep and long freeze. |

Don't waste your money.
Instead of buying one from the local auto store, thought I'd save money and get this. Bad choice. Installed it and it didn't work. Took it to the auto shop to be tested and they said it didn't work. Cheap imitation of the the real thing.

Exceeds performance expectations of OEM fluids

You know I didn't think it would work as well I've heard all these horror stories but you know what this works better than the factory CVT fluid this stuff is great this is amazing be very careful to get your levels correct that goes without saying with any transmission but once you do that this fluid is amazing I have a better performance than when I had the new transmission I serve my CvT 35 to 40,000 miles I'm using it in a 2018 Mitsubishi outlander base model and I'm also running Yokohama geolander 015s on it. If you worry about tires for you Mitsubishi or any vehicle. I'm going to say you'll call when you lander whether it's a car or crossover or an SUV this tire is amazing it's best all around tire and your rain traction is phenomenal

Good Stuff!! All low speed shudder is gone.

I have a 2020 Nissan Altima SL 2.5l and Nissan is VERY specific about using ONLY NS3 transmission fluid. There are only a couple NS3 transmission fluid manufacturers...Nissan NS3 (Manufactured by Idemitsu), Idemitsu (a little cheaper than Nissan dealer), Triax, and Mannol (works good too).
Seeing as Nissan is still using Jatco CVT transmissions which are known to be very troublesome, and very expensive to replace I wouldn't try any of the so-called "universal" transmission fluids just to save $50 and end up replacing a $6000 transmission.
The Triax fluid seems to work very good in my car. I don't feel the shutter that I normally feel when driving slow and need to accelerate. The shudder is completely gone and operating smooth.
The old fluid had 50k miles and it was very dirty but didn't smell burnt.
I ended up doing 2 - 3 1/2 quart changes with 200 miles between the first and second change.
I plan on doing another 3.5/4 quart change every 15k miles since there is no way to completely drain the 7.4 quarts of transmission fluid. The first change, only 3.5 quarts drained from the pan.
