This album comes after a period of burnout and solo travel when Pearson returned with a clear vision and, notes the press text, chose her collaborators and recording location with confidence. Unlike her earlier albums, Someday, Now was carefully written and rehearsed before being recorded over two weeks at Rockfield Studios. The band includes Heavenly label-mates Huw Evans and Davey Newington, with Joel Burton, and was engineered by Joe Jones. Between them the team have created a polished and purposeful sound.
