This Elephant Hood/Balaclava is brilliantly designed to fit snugly and securely - perfect for babywearing.  The integrated elastic at the back of neck gives a snug fit, keeping both your head and neck warm.   It also makes it more difficult for babies to pull off on their own.  

Wool's temperature-regulating properties make it a perfect companion in changing temperatures. Can be worn on its own in more mild weather, and exceptional for layering in chilly conditions, keeping you cozy and comfortable at all times.

Material:  

• 100% merino wool, with ribbed pattern. Weight of textile 380 gm/sq meter.
• Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certification, Class I certified non-mulesing merino wool.
• No superwash, no moth treatment, and safe dyes used

CHARMER/EXPLORER:  3 -12/18 mo.  Head circumference approx 43-48 cm = 17-19 in.  Circumference of facial opening 14 in. (stretches, additionally)

CONQUEROR/ADVENTURER:  1 -4½/ 5 yr.  Head circumference approx 46-54 cm = 18-21½ in.  Circumference of facial opening 16 in. (stretches, additionally)

INNOVATOR:  5 -7½ yr.  (Head circumference approx 52-56 cm = 20½ -22½ in.)  Circumference of facial opening 18 in. (stretches, additionally)

When it comes to warmth and durability, it’s hard to find a match like ManyMonths® - the fabric is made just for them. Their 100% merino wool fabric is 380 grams per square meter, meaning that it is NOT just a base layer.  Additionally, it is ribbed to create pockets of warmth and the fibers are twisted for extra durability when washing.

All ManyMonths items become softer with use and washing.  We recommend hand-washing with a lanolin-replenishing soap - adding your favorite hair-conditioner will add extra softness and give them your own personal scent. 

We recommend washing these woolens once prior to wearing - it will help soften the textile.  After this, washing can be infrequently, as needed.  Caring for Wool.                                                          

    We recommend hand-washing with Kookaburra Wool Wash. 

  or LANACare Lanolin Soap with even more lanolin, 7.5%.  It is recommended for nursing  pads & diaper covers, or to add even more softness to your woolens.
