The SML721 utilizes a 25.5"–25" multi-scale length configuration, maintaining natural string tension across the board. Q58 ceramic humbuckers are mounted in both bridge and neck positions and are voiced for clarity, balance, and articulation. The electronics include a dyna-MIX10 switching system with an Alter switch and a standard 5-way selector, enabling ten distinct tonal configurations from a dual-humbucker setup. A single volume and tone knob provide straightforward control.
The guitar is anchored by a Mono-Rail bridge, designed for string isolation and resonance transfer. A 43mm nut width provides a familiar feel for most players. Finished in Midnight Arctic Ocean Matte, the SML721 is part of a design-forward series intended to explore advanced player preferences.
