Compatibility & Fitment
- Application: Designed for exterior and interior door frames with pre-cut kerf slots.
- Kerf Slot Width: Fits slots from 0.35 in to 0.59 in (9mm to 15mm).
- Sealing Gap: Seals gaps ranging from 1/4 in to 9/16 in (6.5mm to 14mm).
- Usage: For top and side door jambs.
When to Replace
- Visible light or airflow is noticeable around a closed door.
- Increased infiltration of outside noise, dust, or moisture.
- Existing seal is brittle, cracked, discolored, or permanently compressed.
- Physical damage or peeling is visible on the current weather stripping.
Installation Tips
- Remove the old weather stripping by pulling it out of the kerf slot.
- Clean the slot of any dirt or residual debris.
- Measure and cut the new seal to length for each section of the door frame.
- Starting from a top corner, press the flanged base of the new seal into the slot.
- Work your way down, ensuring the seal is fully seated without stretching the material.
