1970年代頃のSPHINXのイヤリング。

側面に繊細なテクスチャーが施されたゴールドトーンのオープンワークメタルに、淡いターコイズブルーのマーブルカボションがセットされています。

貝殻や波の跡を思わせるユニークなシェイプに淡いブルーが相まって、海を想像させるお品。

個性的でありながら上品なデザインと程よいサイズ感で、日常使いにぴったりのイヤリングです。纏ったときにメタルから素肌が覗くのも、抜け感があって素敵。

非常に良好なヴィンテージコンディションです。

【SPHINX(スフィンクス)とは】
1948年にイギリスで創業したジュエリーカンパニー。まるで本物のジュエリーに見える、高品質で美しいデザインのコスチュームジュエリーを制作していました。自社製品の他にもKenneth Jay Lane、Nina Ricciなどのデザイナーや、ヨーロッパやアメリカの高級デパート向けにジュエリーデザインを手掛けていました。
刻印には"SPHINX"とシリアルナンバー、またはどちらか一方が刻まれましたが、需要を満たすために刻印をせず、急いで出荷していた時期も。会社は1990年代後半に閉業しました。
