Wouldn't the definition of Romanticism be that the "self" expresses itself through the musical medium? Listening to the slow movements of Mozart's symphonies, concertos, and sonatas, the idea that he could be classified among the Romantic composers, or at least tending towards Romanticism, comes to mind. What magnificent moments we have spent listening to them...

A child once said to his pianist father, who was simultaneously practicing works by Mozart and Beethoven, "Beethoven is joyful, Mozart is sad!" Doesn’t truth come from the mouths of babes?

Let’s take the example of Symphony No. 40 in G minor and consider musicologist Éric Blum's commentary: "The personal feeling that distinguishes Romanticism from the severe and objective perfection of Classicism has never been felt more strongly in any musical work than in this symphony... One could say that in the G minor symphony, Romanticism and Classicism meet..."

What we love about Ferenc Fricsay's tempo choices is that he allows us to savor the considerations mentioned above more than other conductors. The apparent slowness of his direction wonderfully distills the Mozartian sentiment, and the beauty of the orchestra's timbres enhances their expressive impact. Everything is marvelous, and there’s no need to mention that the remastering is on par with the performance. Justice is finally done to this essential reference.

Enjoy your listening

I love this watch even though it has some really big flaws.
Color: Tan
I love this watch even though there are some major problems. The quality of the crystal is really clear. I love the way the dial looks. It is very easy to read analog hands. It has a lot of lume on the hands so reading the time at night is not a problem even without the illumination. The indices do not glow as bright but can be easily seen when you hit the light button. I like the colors on the dial as well. I do find the digital dispay to be small and obstructed by the light button. The digital display is also unreadable when you look straight on. It just appears black until you look at it at an angle. The worst part is that the light does not even illuminate the digital display. It is not a deal breaker for me as I don't play on using the digital functions when it is dark. Honestly, I probably am not going to be using the other functions other than time. Setting the analog time is annoying as you have to hold the button and wait until you get to the respective time and it only moves forward. Overall nice looking watch that seems well built. If you use the digital functions a lot this is probably not the watch for you.
