This 1969 single cask whisky from the Glenrothes distillery has been brought to us as part of a two-cask release from The Last Drop company. Filled to cask number 16207 on the 27th of October 1969, this liquid spent nearly 50 years mellowing, maturing and taking influence from the staves of this cask to create a wonderfully luxurious single malt whisky that was awarded a breath-taking 96 points and best single malt of the year ( single cask ) in Jim Murray’s whisky bible 2019. With only 141 bottles produced from the cask this whisky is a rare gem that is sure to take the star spot in anyone’s collection.

With a fruity and open nose filled with notes of papaya and mango that is then followed up by sandalwood and distinct notes of toffee, a palate that is incredibly smooth and filled with sweetness and an sensationally long finish, this whisky is a gem that is not likely to be replicated.
