Keeping transmission fluid temperatures in check is key to extending the life of your transmission. High fluid temperatures cause reduced lubrication, which can damage seals, clutches, and bearings. Mishimoto has a solution with our highly efficient universal 13-row stacked-plate transmission cooler kit. This universal kit applies to any vehicle needing an ancillary cooler to assist in hot climates, towing, or extreme driving conditions. Our heat exchanger features a 40,000 GVW rating, making it ideal for heavy-duty applications. Within this transmission cooler kit, we include the necessary components for a typical installation. The included -in-16 to 3/8-in hose barb adapter fittings feature an integrated O-ring for leak-free operation. Fifty inches of durable SAE J1532 transmission cooler hose is provided to route fluid to and from the transmission. SAE J1532 hose is explicitly designed for transmission fluids and features a spiral polyester reinforcement for increased pressure tolerance. Because routing of fluid lines is often around sharp objects or through tight passageways, we include a durable hose protection sleeve that prevents damage from abrasion. In addition, this transmission cooler includes a durable, corrosion-resistant powder-coated finish. We've included high-quality stainless-steel worm-gear clamps and 3/8-in hose barb unions for mating the hose and fittings. Rounding out our Universal 13-row Stacked Plate Transmission Cooler kit is a set of 4 universal mounting brackets and associated hardware, making installation a breeze. Looks amazing!

Very straight forward to build. Mine was not hard but to a bit more effort because my ceiling is at an angle so I had to get a little creative. I cut a piece of wood and placed it between the ceiling and one of the arms for it to be even. It’s also not completely even cause I didn’t have a long level but still looks amazing.

Sturdy, Be mindful if a few things in advance

Good quality. The black pipe compliments our decorating style so we are over all pleased.
Be mindful of the following:
- Needs a little bit of expertise in making sure all the flanges line up and are level/plumb.
- Even if/when you pre assemble tubing according to printed instructions, the shelving won't line up and some connection parts will have to be loosened to line up.
- I consider us (me & the hubs) little above average when it comes to DIY but this took some figuring out and cooperation during installation because we decided to align the holes on the flanges up with our studs to enforce the holding strength (for weight of books and family photo albums/picture boxes). This choice was prompted by the poor quality of plastic drywall anchors included with the product.
Now that I have installed one, I will customize next time with more height (to accommodate taller children's books that don't fit the current set up) and a bit deeper (to accommodate a 12 inch shelf/wood insert). Aesthetically, it will not accommodate a book taller than about 9 inches. Our photo albums range up to 15 inches and because the shelving depth from back wall to front of wood shelf is about 12 inches, it hangs over the front too much to look balanced.
With the current set up, I'm limited with what can be placed on the shelves - size wise. While this does not have anything to do with the quality of the product, you may not know to consider these aspects in advance so thats why I include it in my review.
