Genevieve Artadi's songwriting workshop taught in June 2025: by purchasing this past course, you're able to watch Genevieve's lectures and go about the course at your own pace!

In this course, she takes us through her process of writing, how she fully immerses in a song until completion and before moving on. She explores how arrangement can be a part of the songwriting process via examples from songs from her various projects, including her recent work with the Norbotten Big Band and as one half of the duo KNOWER.

Genevieve's class includes 4 lectures titled:

  1. The Core & The Groove
  2. Welcoming Dissonance
  3. Developing, Detailing, & Decorating Decisions
  4. Balance

In the course, students will also gain access to early demos and behind-the-scenes insights into Genevieve’s songwriting process. By the end of this workshop, students will walk away with new songs, fresh perspectives on their creative process, and a deeper understanding of how to shape and refine their work.

This course also includes 3 songwriting prompts based on the lecture content of classes 1-3.

Here's a few words from Genevieve about the course:

“Making music is the funnest outlet for me to deal with the mystery of life because it's diverse and impactful. I can try to make songs that are atmospheres, capturings of memories, declarations, letters, energy generators, fantasies, and so on. And beyond the awesomeness of the writing process is the bonus effect of reaching another person's heart. In my class, I'll talk about building songs considering instrumentation and form, using a balance of intuition and functional thinking to get from one place to the next, deepening melodies, lyrics, and chords to make the music more personal or interesting, and using the core idea of a song to generate new ideas within it." - Genevieve Artadi

Testimonials from June 2025 Students:

"Genevieve’s energy was amazing throughout!!! It was so kind of her to take the time to share her insights, humour, and wisdom. I loved being a part of this. I loved listening to her songs and hearing the stories behind her writing process and I know it will be months (years?) of digesting all the stuff she brought to the workshop. Thank you so much!"

"I'm so grateful to have been a part of this course! Been listening to Genevieve’s different projects for a few years, and was so psyched to check out what she had to say about her artistic vision in this class. The way she delivered each topic and her attention to detail was excellent, authentic, and deep (just like her music). Genevieve, thank you so much for being so generous (in so many ways) and sharing your time and wisdom with us."

"So grateful for getting to peek into Genevieve’s brain and process. She brought her real self to every lecture and Q&A. Her passion and genius for the art shined through every minute, she clearly has a gift for teaching. I learned so many things from huge, macro concepts to small, nerdy theory stuff!"

This archived course includes:

  1. Class Video Recordings – Watch all 4 of Genevieve's lectures and Q&As on her songwriting process.
  2. All course materials, including songwriting prompts crafted by Genevieve.
  3. Access to the "community jukebox" – upload your new songs to the jukebox and share the tunes with fellow classmates!

FAQ:

Q: What musical experience should I have?

Q: What if I’ve never written a song before? Can I still participate in this workshop?
A: Yes! As with any new skill, just starting is usually the hardest part. This workshop will provide the structure and accountability we all need to get started and follow through, for beginners and old guard writers alike.

Beta, Alpha, Omega oh my!
Format: Kindle
Omegas are precious and given to Alphas & their packs... but the Betas want in too. To this end, the Beta government is rolling out its trial of assigning a Beta to each Alpha-Omega pack. But forcing a Beta into a pack where they are not wanted will not end well... Of course, no one expected the Omega to fall for the assigned Beta. Great read and cliffhanger

A familiar story, just with…..less.
Format: Kindle
So, as other reviewers make clear, this is very similar to Pack Darling and The Beta. It’s much closer aligned with The Beta, in plot and maybe more like Pack Darling with characters. That being said, I don’t hate this…..but it wasn’t great either. It’s both books mentioned but just….less. Less angst, less emotion, less feeling. The plot feels very half fleshed out, and the “bad guy” feels underwhelming. I didn’t really feel any real emotions from and of the male leads, except maybe Oliver. The others fell sorta flat for me. And Mika makes herself out to be this big bad ass straight outta training and then we never see it from here again with the one fitting room incident as the exception. SPOILER: The whole, “Oh, I’m actually probably an Omega, but I don’t wanna be but I do actually wanna be but no one can ever know my secret that I do nothing to hide “ thing fell so flat. She never commutes to believing she was secretly an omega, but also mentions her “secret” a lot. It just felt so manufactured. I’m intrigued enough to read part 2 and see how the author closes everything out, but this is not one I’ll recommend or ever come back to.

Good start to a series
Format: Kindle
I delayed reading the series for reasons I don’t remember. But my TBR list is huge so I thought I’d take a shot of this and I was pleasantly surprised. I didn’t think the blurb about it was anything special. But it was a very good book. It took some interesting twists and turns. I am so glad the second book is already out. Because I would not have waited patiently. Very slow burn but good storyline. 🔥🔥/5

A good read
Format: Kindle
Multiple points of view. 3 Alpha men and an Omega male. She is a Beta in training for a new program placing betas in Alpha/Omega packs. Mila is only doing the program for the money to take care of her dad. She wasn't expecting to fall for a pack but when she sees this packs Omega she is done for. There is just something about him. His Alphas are good looking as well. Too bad she is hiding a secret and their government is acting shady. I liked it and can't wait to see where their story goes.

Slightly repetitive but I did love some things
Format: Kindle
I love this type of story. And omegaverse is one of my all time favorite genres. But there are a few things that pulled me out of my enjoyment while I was reading. It was repetitive at times as well as struggled with telling not showing. So we didn’t always feel like we were experiencing things with the main character. There were also some plot holes but they may still be answered in part 2. Now this isn’t to be said I didn’t enjoy parts of the story. I loved the almost instant love between Mila and Oliver. And how he started changing around her.
