Like so many other great Taylors, the Next Generations 714ce starts with a great combination of tonewoods. This model's cutaway Grand Auditorium body shape is assembled with a match of a western red cedar top and Indian rosewood back and sides. Matching a rich, radiant top with a warm, complex back and sides, this Next Gen model delivers a nuanced sonic palette for any style of music. Within, this Next Generation model lets us in on one of the series' innovations with its scalloped V-Class bracing pattern. An enhancement on Taylor's proprietary V-Class bracing pattern, the braces' new scalloped quality enhances projection and playability even further.

Here, we're met with a familiar Taylor specification – a neo-tropical mahogany neck. This smooth, slim neck slips easily across the palm with another familiar face. Taylor's West African Crelicam ebony fingerboard punches in with comfortable frets and Reflections inlays for a dazzling look across the board. The model's neck is brought together with its body through the Next Generation series' Action Control Neck assembly that makes neck and fingerboard height adjustments easier than ever.
