Basics: zones 3-8, 14" x 36", part to full shade (morning sun is ok), purple bloom in mid summer, the leaves of this Hosta are a silvery-blue, pointy, and have an irregular creamy margin, enjoys consistent moisture if possible, however, once established is drought tolerant in the shadiest spots and grows well under trees

Common names: Plantain Lily, Funkia

Family: Asparagaceae

Origin/Distribution: Species Hostas hail from China, Japan, Korea, and the eastern edge of Russia. They have a special place in people's hearts. We could say they are the dogs of the plant world and just like dogs have been hybridized, selected, bred, and cross bred to create thousands of registered varieties. The American Hosta Society recognizes over 7,200.

Habitat: Species have a variety of habitats, but some shade and moisture are pretty consistent desires. They are found in rich woodlands, along forest margins, damp meadows and open grassland at higher elevations, on moss-covered trees (H. venusta), peat bogs (H. alismifolia), stream banks and swamps (H. kiyosumiensis), mountainous forests (H. plantaginea). Some grow on steep slopes and in rock walls.

More: 'Regal Splendor' is a large, vase-shaped cultivar. Its leaves look very handsome in big flower arrangements. In the garden it is a nice counterpoint to lower, wider Hostas. Hostas are tough perennials that add scale and texture to woodland gardens.

Even More: Although most Hostas like some moisture, I have found them to be quite drought tolerant once established. The bees in my garden feed on the blooms. Hostas are not deer, rabbit, slug, or vole resistant. All species of Hosta are edible and some are bred to increase edibility, however, in large amounts, the saponins are toxic to pets. I have never seen a dog, cat, or horse taste test a Hosta, but keep this in mind. I wonder how deer manage with this toxicity. All Hosta leaves are wonderful additions to flower arrangements and last a long time in the vase. I also like to use the flower stalks in bud for an unexpected texture and shape.

Great little umbrella light, I love it!
Color: Warm White, Color: Warm White
This umbrella light is small , compact and very lightweight, you can effortlessly move it around if your changing umbrellas. I Also love how bright this little thing is, with the click of a button the place is brightly lit. Love, that you don't have to have all the lights on if you don't want to that's a stand out feature. Great little light that adds a touch of elegance. Very user-friendly, in seconds to minutes its up and running.

Great Light but NOT USB CHARGEABLE
I bought this lamp for my bell tent, which has a center pole. It did exactly what I wanted it to do: provide light to my whole tent instead of depending on a lantern or flashlight. It snapped on easily and fit the pole perfectly. I wish it had a remote but I could have spent more and bought one with that functionality. The reason I took a star off is because it is advertised as being USB and even requires RECHARGABLE batteries. Since I'm not savvy on these things I paid extra for the batteries thinking the USB charges them in the device. NOPE. The USB is just for powering the light from an ac source (which is pointless for what I use it for).

Kinda of a cool gadget
Color: Cool White
I really didn't know I needed this until I got it! Easy and quick to recharge batteries (they do not come with rechargeable batteries). Put out enough light for an evening outside around the table

Love the Warm Glow!
Color: Warm White
This light is very easy to install and has 3 different lighting options. I love the warm white light it emits as opposed to a bright white light that could attract bugs at night. Perfect light for patio, deck, camping, golf cart, etc!

It feels cheap and works just okay
This product just feels like it was made on the bottom dollar. It is very cheaply made and the doors to the battery compartment are so fragile it feels like they may snap next time I have to change the batteries. There's absolutely no weather proofing so I wouldn't leave it outside in the rain or heat. That being said, it's fine. It stays put on our umbrella and puts out light, albeit not much light.
