The Devil Wears Prada meets Far from the Tree in #1 New York Times bestselling author Kelly Yang’s powerful love story about two teens searching for their place in the world.

Serene dreams of making couture dresses even more stunning than her mom’s, but for now she’s an intern at her mom’s fashion label.

When her mom receives a sudden diagnosis of pancreatic cancer, all that changes. Serene has to take over her mother’s business overnight while trying to figure out what happened with her dad in Beijing. He left before she was born, and Serene wants to find him, even if it means going against her mom’s one request—never look back.

Lian Chen moved from China to Serene’s mostly white Southern California beach town a year ago. He doesn’t fit in at school, where kids mispronounce his name. His parents don’t care about what he wants to do—comedy—and push him toward going to MIT engineering early. Lian thinks there’s nothing to stick around for until one day he starts a Chinese Club after school . . . and Serene walks in.

Worlds apart in the high school hierarchy, Serene and Lian soon find refuge in each other, falling in love as they navigate life-changing storms.

The best digital watch on the market
Color: Black/Black/Digital, Color: Black/Black/Digital
Very well made and fits my wrist perfectly. The pictures don’t do it justice.

Awesome old-school 1990's feel
Color: Black/Black/Digital
besides the timer than can be set to do interval training, and the 100 lap memory, there is also a cute memo function that can store 10 memos, with 3 pages each. I use to help me remember my children's phone numbers.

Nostalgia is costly.
Color: Black/Black/Digital
It’s a nice watch but in no way is it worth the price. You’re paying a huge nostalgia fee with this one. At best this is a $40 watch. Battery life is horrible (3 years) and it loses 1-2 seconds a day. For a digital quartz watch that is extremely poor. I thought mine might be a poor example but after researching online I found the majority of new flix owners report losing at least 1-2 seconds a day. As a Casio fan, it’s hard to see what the draw is to Ironman watches. Casio has them beat in almost every category. The only thing I think the timex wins at is the screen legibility at extreme angles. Anyways, I got it because I had a flix in high school and it brings back some memories. I believe the nostalgia factor is why these watches have any appeal at all.

The watch has a problem with the alarm.
Color: Black/Black/Digital, Color: Black/Black/Digital
This is perhaps the nicest digital watch I’ve ever had, the watch is new, but it came broken, the alarm does not sound or better to say sounds so low, it is inaudible, is practically useless, do not know if it can be fixed, I’ll have to take you to a technician, the problem is that I am in Ecuador, I do not know if the guarantee will serve or can be returned.
