Endgame Empire – Build Your Kingdom. Rule the Board.
Every great empire is built on strategy, vision, and strong leadership. In chess, the endgame is where the most important decisions are made. Success in this phase requires careful thinking, precision, and confidence.
Campers will build their “Endgame Empire” by working on important concepts at an appropriate skill level for their group. Some ideas covered in this camp are:

Lay the Foundations: Learn essential endgame principles such as king activity, opposition, pawn structure, and the rule of the square.

Command the King: Understand how the king changes from a piece that must be protected in the opening into one of the most powerful pieces in the endgame.

Conquer Weaknesses: Learn how to identify and attack weaknesses in the opponent’s pawn structure.

Claim Victory: Practice practical endgame positions and real game situations to turn small advantages into decisive results.
By the end of the week, campers won't just play endgames better. They will rule the board with confidence!
We'll also have a free bonus lesson for campers on Tuesday, July 28th at 4pm ET with Grandmaster Johan Hellsten!
Typical schedule for a day:
- 10:30-10:40 Introductions, chat, get to know each other
- 10:40-11:10 Lesson
- 11:10-11:45 Practice games and possibly student game analysis
- 11:45-12:00 Break
- 12:00-12:25 Lesson
- 12:25-1:00 Practice games
