A hollow-body to rule them all, we have this Limited Edition Gretsch G2420TG finished in vintage white with gold hardware and a Bigsby. As part of the Streamliner series, this hollow-body offers players warm archtop tones at an affordable price point.
This Gretsch finds its big-body sound from a fully hollow arched laminated maple body. A simple single-cutaway design allows for easier access to the upper frets. The body double bound with white/black binding for a classy look. A soft "C" shapped nato neck is glued to the body in a traditional set-neck design. The neck features a 12-inch laurel fingerboard with pearloid big block inlays and is crowned with 22 medium jumbo frets.
For its voice, 2 Gretsch Broad'Tron BT-3S humbuckers can be found in the neck and bridge positions and offer tight lows and clear highs with a strong mid-range. Control set on this Gretsch are 2 individual pickups volume controls, a master tone, 3-way pickups selector switch, and a master volume control with a push/pull feature to spilt the humbuckers coils for single-coil tones. Gold hardware accents the vintage finish, especially the G-Arrow control knobs. Strings are loaded through the Bigsby B60 vibrato tailpiece before being set in place at the Adjusto-Matric bridge and bone nut and strung to pitch with the die-cast sealed tuners.
