Under the direction of trumpeter Jeff Hughes, the Boston-based Brahmin Bellhops is an all-star group bringing together some of New England's finest traditional jazz musicians. In their second recording for Rivermont, the Bellhops turn the spotlight on the evocative, tuneful, dance-able songs of contemporary composer Buck Evans. Though the songs were written in the early 2000s, you'd swear they came straight out of the 1920s and '30s, complete with witty lyrics, exotic locales, and plenty of fox-trot rhythms. (Brahmin Bellhops fans will know that the group already recorded an album of Buck Evans songs in the 1990s for Stomp Off to great acclaim. This disc contains an entirely new set!) For these recordings, made in 2021-2023, the group includes the following musicians: Jeff Hughes (cornet and trumpet), John Clark (clarinet, alto sax, baritone sax), Craig Ball (clarinet, tenor sax), Herb Gardner and Lee Prager (trombone), Bob Barta (banjo, guitar, ukulele, mandocello, and vocals), Ross Petot (piano), Albie Bernard (tuba), Steve Taddeo and Dave Didriksen (drums), Peter Kontrimas (guest bass), and Buck Evans himself (piano and vocals). If you've ever found yourself lamenting that "they just don't write 'em like they used to," this CD will be a pleasant surprise! The CD includes a 16-page illustrated booklet with liner notes by Jeff Hughes. 21 selections. 79 minutes of music.

Moisturized heels out of the box
Color: Fuzzy Lilac Purple, Size: Regular
Work without adding anything to your feet, but there are extra nice if you wanted to add a moisturizer to you heel and not get it all over your socks. Worth the money!

I even used it on my face
Color: Bronze Gold
I purchased this shimmer oil to use on my legs when I’m wearing a summer slip dress. I’m not always fond of how my legs look, but once I smoothed this over my lightly tanned skin—wow, what a difference. The glow is subtle yet so flattering. One day I forgot my highlighter, so I lightly dabbed this over my contour, brushed a tiny bit over my lips with chapstick on top, and it looked amazing. Now it’s my go-to beach look: a little shimmer on my arms and legs, a tad on my lips, a soft sweep across my eyelids, and a touch on my cheekbones. It gives me that effortless, radiant vibe that’s perfect for summer.

Smells like crayons
Color: Bronze Gold
Stinks. Smells like covering yourself in melted crayons. Very cheap smelling. Left it on ny skin for an hour, then wiped with a rag and it immediately came right off. You're better off just getting bronzer.

Pretty shade; not super shiny
Color: Rose Gold
Pretty color! However- it will not be as pretty shiny as it looks like in the brand photos.
