The PRS SE NF3, a new addition to PRS’s SE series, embodies so much of PRS’s fine musicality and design. Loaded with impressive electronics and outfitted with refined PRS hardware, it’s a guitar for anyone to lose themselves in.
Making its entrance, the PRS SE NF3 keeps easy and light with a double-cutaway poplar body. PRS’s Flat Top carve bevels the body for a sleek and streamlined feel in hand. Meeting up with a bolt-on maple neck in a PRS Wide Thin profile, the overall shape of this guitar, body and neck in hand, is smooth and ready for fast playing. A maple fingerboard lands on this model with twenty-two frets. Lined with iconic PRS Birds fret inlays, this maple is a classic choice for PRS guitars and is sure to inspire lengthy and exciting sessions across the 25-inch scale length.
Audibly, the SE NF3 features something new to the SE series of guitars. Three Narrowfield DD (Deep Dish) “S” pickups are loaded into the NF3 to summon a striking spectrum of enamoring tonality. These pickups, outfitted with taller bobbins to allow for extra magnet winds, produce a more focused, powerful tone for anyone to pick up and creatively run wild with. With a five-way selector switch, these pickups invite tonal exploration previously unseen in the PRS SE series family of guitars.
Along with PRS’s breakthroughs in sonic crafting, additional PRS hardware appointments land on the SE NF3 for that reliable PRS playing experience. A classic PRS patented tremolo bridge lands on this model to pair stability with those expressive vibrato bends. In addition, PRS-designed tuners land at the opposite end of this guitar to fully solidify the intonation and tuning experiences. Across the entire scale of this guitar, one is sure to find rock-solid tonality and tuning accuracy thanks to this pair of PRS-designed appointments.
