1994年NYで誕生したジュエリーブランド。
フラッシュポイントの代表アイテムともいえるこちらのJIm Skull Ring (ジムスカルリング)は映画監督の ジム・ジャームッシュの発案から生まれ、イギー・ポップ、エリック・クラプトン、ジョニーデップ等が身につけています。

映画監督ジム・ジャームッシュが永年交友関係を保っているALFRED(FLASHPOINTのオーナー)にアイディアを持ちかけて製作されたスカルリング。"SKULL"は一般的に死の象徴・死を招くと考えられているがその解釈は人それぞれであるように、このモデルは死を恐れない・立ち向かうという逆説的な意味が込められている。

 

FLASHPOINTのシンボルでもあるジムスカルリングに、ジョニーデップが立ち上げたプロジェクト「NEVER FEAR TRUTH」のロゴが刻印されたスペシャルモデル。

「NEVER FEAR TRUTH」では同氏のアート作品が様々な形で表現されており、自らが描いた絵画をアニメーション化したNFTをはじめ、JewelleryやApparel、Stationeryなど多岐にわたる。俳優、プロデューサー、ミュージシャンとして、そして、長年絵画や写真撮影など幅広く活躍する同氏に「NFTアーティスト」としての一面が加わった。

このプロジェクトには、「私は家族、友人、尊敬する人々など、大切な人を思い出すために絵画を描いてきましたが、これまではそれらを外には出さず留めてきました。しかし誰もが自分をもっと開放していくべきです」という同氏の想いが込められている。

Unfortunately, I will be returning them.
