The Gretsch Electromatic G5422T captures "that great Gretsch sound" in a workingman's guitar. This guitar was upgraded with gold Sperzel locking tuners. The original tuners are also included with the guitar. Electronically, the G5422T features a master volume, master tone, and individual pickup volumes. A licensed Bigsby vibrato brings out classic rock and surf pitch shifting. Players will be able to easily access the full register of this guitar thanks to its double cut body.
In the early 2010s, Gretsch offered select Electromatic hollowbodies and Jets with custom pinstripe graphics, and this special edition G5422 is most definitely one of them. It features custom handpainted graphics by Hot Rod Walt. Besides performing custom pinstriping and decaling, Hot Rod Walt plays guitar in the Atlanta, Georgia rockabilly/psychobilly outfit, the Psycho-Devilles. An autographed picture of Hot Rod Walt performing pinstriping at the Gretsch factory is included with the guitar.
